I love succulents. And, by love, I mean I have a passionate love affair with them.
There are so many varieties and they're all so gorgeous. I love their texture, their color, the way they don't hate me when I forget to water them. They're easy peasy to take care of and even easier to propagate. More on that awesome in a future post...
I was super excited when, while perusing my local meetups, the Crafty Girl had an event using pretty succulents she had propagated herself and cute vintage containers she had been collecting from around town. I couldn't wait to sign up and brought my friend Sarah with me. The Crafty Girl was sweet, funny and great to hang out with and we got to go home with two pretty creations (I'll try not to kill...)
That awesome purple in the vase is actually recycled mirrors broken, tumbled, and dyed delicious color. She found it at Ikea... if I weren't in the process of my own Ikea intervention, I'd head there now, because pretty.
Sarah and I had a chance to be social, crafty and creative. Love that. The whole premise of theCraftySocial! I'm still in the planning stages, but wouldn't you love to get together with old friends and new friends and create something handmade and fancy? I can't wait til all of these plans floating in my head come to fruition! I hope you can join me!
